Ark in the Karoo

Description

Ark in the Karoo

The Farm Stall is owned by two local farmers (one which is a Silwood trained chef) who had a dream
to supply their produce to those passing through Jansenville. They chose a gracious old building (1897)
that was recently refurbished (by Oom Pietie and Tannie Lana Fourie,) to share their Karoo hospitality.
The trained staff are locals, and they support local suppliers where possible. Jansenville is known for its lamb,
venison, biltong and droe wors. However, they hope to introduce their visitors to local goat meat, a delicacy in
many African countries. They sell FREE range chickens sourced from a local farmer. The Coffee shop and
artisanal Deli, operates 7 days a week and offer breakfasts, light lunches and depending on the weather a
special treat for that day. They stock homemade rusks, biscuits, cakes, tarts and crafts. They sell locally sourced
‘Vet Plante’ or succulents from the area and some photographers art. Special thought has been given to travelers needs:
The bathroom is disabled friendly, and the top area is on one level. Pets have a specially demarcated area for them to
stretch their legs and drink water. Parking is behind the building and under the trees. We are ever evolving and look forward
to constructive input as we journey along this path to fulfil our dream
and add value to our local community – Jansenville.
